The „Basarabica” and „Documenta basarabiae” series in the collections of the Scientific Library of USARB

Abstract

This article provides information about the historical documents published with the support of the Romanian Academy, the Institute of Archaeology in Iași, the „Carol I” Brăila Museum, and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Institute of History. These studies open new horizons for understanding the Romanian cultural environment, the old Romanian book in Bessarabia, the union of Bukovina with Bessarabia, the genesis of the Bessarabian question of 1812, prominent figures from Bessarabia, and more. The works are enriched with illustrative material, summaries, and a name index.
