This article contains information about the life and work of German writer Erich Kästner, Laureate of the Hans Christian Andersen Award (23.02.1899 - 29.07.1974), known in many countries of the world, not only through poems, essays, novels and plays written for mature but also by children,, Alecu Russo" Bălţi State University  are presented.
