Abstract

The article states the essential data related to Theodor Aman's activity, the first academic painter, the promoter of modernity in Romanian art.It also presents postages, containing four stamps and two "first day" envelopes, which hold reproductions of paintings by Theodor Aman, who was considered until the end of his life the best painter – Romanian engraver.
