Our predecessors at the librarianship source in Balti

Abstract

This article is comparison of the fates, characters and professional capacities of two moldovan`s outstanding librarians. Mrs. Basea Elik worked as a librarian in President`s Masarik`s Private Library in Czechoslovakia. Then she was the chief librarian of Children Library in Baltsy. Mrs. Faina Tlehuch was the first chief librarian of Scientific University Library in Baltsy. They both were leaders and friends for their staff and collaborators, who remember their psychological strength, personal charm and excellent professionalism. Mrs. Basea Elik`s and Faina Tlehuch`s activity was a superlative chapter in the library history in Baltsy.
