Information and Documentation Centre of the University in 2011

Abstract

In the article are presented achievements in Bălţi University Library in the context of the changes produced in the University, which this year it was placed on 6 849 position the best web of 20 000 universities in the world (RWWU)Ranking Web of World University) in the Republic of Moldova being placed the 6th of the 19 universities. The University structure was modified in 2011 year: 8 faculties, 20 chairs, 2 departments: Information Technologies and Quality Management. Also in the library was opened Information Centre of the European Union, free access to the EUBookshop database with over 170 000 information resources, the University Agency of Francophonie (AUF). In 2011, 9 848 users (teachers, students) through 16 public access the following points: 4 loans,12 reading rooms, visited the library 510 425 times borrowed 1 233 830 documents, searched for about 103 000 times the OPAC, 34 000 Internet sessions, 11 000 sessions EBSCO databases, SumarScanat, Jurist.
