The historical truth of the 1812 year: the 200 years since the annexation of Bessarabia by the Russian Empire

Abstract

The article presents information about the Conference at the Library of the College in Chisinau, the protagonist, Vlad Mischevca Ph. d. in history, Associate Professor, Coordinator, scientist at the Institute of history, State and law of the ASM which is one of the members of the initiative group members party to the „year of 1812”. Mr. Lv. Mischevca claimed his „year of 1812: Genesis of the Bessarabian Problem,” referring to the Russo-Turkish war of 1806-1812, demonstrating with luxury details the gallery of historical personalities, heraldic symbols of the era, and rare documents, maps, found in archives, libraries and museums in Athens, Moscow, Paris, as well as about the notorious personalities of national historiographers, who broached the historical truth about the year 1812.
