Master Stephen Neaga at intersections of cultures. Genetic revealing and identity of of Ştefan Neaga’s personality

Abstract

The article contains information about the famous composer Ştefan Neaga, who grew up and worked in a family of musicians. His grandfather Anton Neaga plays cobza.  The father Timofei Neaga  was a virtuos violonist. In 1920 Ştefan Neaga writes his first work Simfonitta under italian composer D.  Scarlatti (1685-1757). In 1931 for his merits of composition, Ştefan Neaga was  awarded the “George Enescu” Prize of the Bucharest. He composed works in all musical genres, except lyric-dramatic genre: Symphonic works, Symphonies voice, 3 cantatas: Stefan Cel Mare, Bessarabians; The oratorio the song of the Renaissance; Orchestral symphonies - Two symphonies, Two poems: nights in the Crimea, the  Blind musician, Nistru, The symphonic Balalaica, Wedding from village, symphonic Fantasy - Moldovan Fantasy, instrumental ensembles, the Trio, 2 quartets; Works for piano - two sonatas, various works for piano-Nocturne, A Moldovan dance, Basarabca, vocal works etc.
